An Adventure to Remember: A Memorable Travel in Vigan City

        Whenever I feel like I need to refresh, traveling will always be my first choice. As I traveler, I look for a place that I will never forget. A place that serves unique culture, architectures, and foods. And to me, Vigan City holds all the factors that I mentioned. That's why I am glad that I was able to explore the city of Vigan during their Longganisa Festival. Buckle up your seat belts as I am about to let you experience the heart and charm of the city through your screen as I will state the activities that I've witnessed during my stay at Vigan City. 

        First, on January 19 at Burgos Plaza, I watched a Dog and Cat fun show. As a cat lover it was very amazing to watch various breed of cats. There was a separate category for pets with breed and those who are called "aspin" and "puspin". Fun fact, in the "puspin" category, a cat was immediately called as the champion as the fur baby didn't have any opponents! Surely an activity that I will visit again next year. 

        The following day, I watched the institutional and marching band parade. It was fun seeing the smiles of Bigueños. The cheerful sound of the marching bands from different schools lightened my soul and made me more excited about the festival. 

     

      After watching the parade, I visited the Vigan Food Festival. I got to try the local products that Vigan is offering, and the foods didn't disappoint! Aside from foods, there are also stalls that offers shirts, bags, jewelries, and footwear. 

         Later that, I went to the Education Night that was celebrated at the Burgos Plaza. I got to watch the speeches of respectable members of the Department of Education. I also got to witness awarding and the most unforgettable one was the "Sayaw Talento at Galing ng Educators Competition". They showed that teachers are also great in different aspects.

       Furthermore, on January 22, I watched the Longganisa Street Dance Competition. Seeing how competitive Bigueños are, made my heart happy. With their graceful dance, I got to understand more about the city's culture. Later that, I also watched their show down that followed in the evening. 

        After a long day, I decided to visit their Carnival. Visiting there made me feel like I was back to my childhood days. Indeed, it was a great decision to visit a Carnival to shake off all the tiredness that I felt throughout the day. 

            Lastly, on my last day of visit, I made sure that it will be an unforgettable trip. I made it remarkable by witnessing the opening of Kannawidan Festival during the 28th day of the same month. Seeing that all people from the province gathered to witness the opening of their festival made me want to extend my stay. Watching the fireworks display brought me back to the joy that I felt during New Year's Eve.

        To conclude, my stay in Vigan City was indeed a memorable travel. The foods that I tried and the culture that I got to witness was enough for me to appreciate the real charm of the city. Surely, I will visit again next time. Vigan City is a City that shouldn't be ignored, instead a City that should be explored. Intayon, makipagrambak!
