Season of Giving Out Sparks of Love
Season of Giving Out Sparks of Love
"Christmas isn't the same anymore," most of the teenagers I've met on the internet have stated. It's heartbreaking to realize that most people no longer feel the actual spirit of Christmas. That is why I am thankful that Christmas is still as exciting to me as it was when I was a child. The Christmas Season invites everyone to join in a joyous celebration highlighted by merrymaking, celebrating, and a tapestry of good emotions. In the middle of the twinkling lights and colorful decorations, the genuine essence of Christmas is found in the ideals of love, generosity, giving, family, and humanity.
As I go through the holiday season, I find peace in the timeless principles that Christmas signifies. Love, which is often at the center of this celebration, becomes a tying force that goes beyond materialistic conceptions. It's a time when people gather to establish friendships and form bonds that go beyond the surface. Kindness fills the air, reminding us of the need of compassion and empathy in our life.
The foundation of the holiday is family, which creates an ensemble of shared memories and traditions. Christmas becomes a time for loved ones to reunite, transcending boundaries and differences. It's a reminder that, even in the middle of life's chaos, family remains an anchor of love and support. That's why one of the things that I am looking for in every christmas break is our travel from Ilocos Sur to La Union where we are able to meet our family members in my mother's side. It also excites me as in order to go to various places in La Union, we mostly ride a jeepney which I find an uncommon way of commuting in our province.
Furthermore, Christmas embraces the entire community rather than just particular families. The season's social atmosphere encourages communal celebration, as neighbors become friends and strangers become companions in the shared delight of the celebrations. School is also my community, which is why it fills me with joy everytime that prepare our wishlist for the "bunot-bunotan" for our classroom's christmas program.
To summarize, the Christmas season serves as a reminder that, despite our life's ever-changing environment, certain principles are timeless and global. I am grateful for the opportunity to enjoy Christmas with the same free wonder and passion that I did as a child. My goal is that by cherishing the true heart of Christmas, we may maintain its essence for future generations. And I will carry these values with me as I grow older so that I never lose the true spirit and spark of Christmas.
