Adventures From Curiosity To Plenty Of Discovery

Adventures From Curiosity To Plenty Of Discovery

Excitement and pressure; those were the two feelings that I experienced on the very first day of school. Reflecting on my first-quarter journey, I found it to be just as challenging as seventh grade where I encountered entirely new experiences and subjects. I was very curious about the lessons that were introduced to us. But as days passed, I was able to capture core memories and discoveries. With our subject lesson, I discovered that blogging became my tool for expression and helped me document my thoughts and experiences effectively. I was able to go outside my comfort zone. One of the things that I am very proud of is that during this quarter, I learned how to play a guitar within 2 days for a performance task. Moreover, I realized that I wasn't alone on this journey; the support and collaboration with my peers played an important role in making everything feel well and manageable.

Behind those learnings and discoveries, I also faced obstacles that tested my determination. Managing my tasks became increasingly challenging due to time constraints, leaving me feeling overwhelmed. I was disappointed with some of my scores, which led to a sense of frustration and self-doubt. Moreover, it was a bit difficult for me to adapt to a new environment, and I struggled to get along with my new classmates initially.

Fortunately, despite these challenges, I am thankful that I have the support of my family and friends. They are always there to cheer me up and provide the encouragement and motivation that I needed. To solve the time management issue, I began working on a schedule that allowed me to have sufficient time to my studies and personal time. Most importantly, I learned not to be afraid to seek help when I needed it. I put in my mind that seeking help is not being weak, instead it shows braveness. Whenever I encountered academic difficulties or felt overwhelmed, I reached out to my teachers and classmates, and their guidance assisted me in surviving this quarter. As for getting along with my new classmates, I decided to take the initiative by starting conversations and building connections, gradually breaking down the initial barriers.

To conclude, this quarter was like a roller coaster ride. There were times that I was in my darkest days, but there were also times where I felt blissful. As I look ahead, I am excited about the opportunities and experiences that lie ahead in my academic journey. I have gained skills that will serve me well in the future. I am determined to continue building on my strengths, working on my weaknesses, and striving for excellence. This is just the first quarter and there are still a lot more for me to experience in this ephemeral journey.
